The purpose of the Certification Board for Structural Integrationsm is to examine and maintain standards of ethical and professional practice in the delivery of services through a credentialing program that promotes the competency of practitioners of Structural Integration; and identifies to their peers, the profession, and the public those Structural Integrators who have voluntarily sought and obtained Certification. CBSI shall establish and enforce education, examination, experience and ethics requirements to strengthen the interests of Structural Integration professionals and protect the public. CBSI is interfacing with the Institute for Credentialing Excellence and American National Standards Institute for accreditation. CBSI has taken the steps to reserve the terms Board Certified Structural Integratorcm and its associated symbol, Certification Exam for Structural Integration and Certification Board for Structural Integration for the profession of Structural Integration. |
The first official administration of the Certification Exam for Structural Integration took place on 7-Oct-2007 at the IASI conference in Boston. Since then, nearly 300 of your colleagues have taken the exam. IASI members who wish to schedule an exam in their locale should contact us and we will work with you to bring the exam to you. As additional exams are scheduled, we will be publishing those dates to this website. Board Certified Structural Integrators are entitled to the exclusive use of the BCSI symbols. We encourage Board Certified practitioners to use the symbols on their websites, business cards, brochures, and other professional materials to distinguish themselves and receive acknowledgement for their accomplishment. |
The Certification Exam was constructed during 2006 and 2007. The CBSI worked with a professional psychometrist and a large number of senior SI practitioners to identify SI knowledge categories and create an exam to test the entry level of knowledge necessary for the safe and effective practice of SI. The Certification Exam is not meant to define the field of Structural Integration. All Board Certified Structural Integrators are encouraged to participate in writing questions for the 2010 exam. Please click on Help Write the Exam. You will find a Guide to Item Writing and Exam Writers Item Construction Form. New questions need to be received by 1-Feb-2010 for consideration. CBSI hopes that you will consider participating in this rewarding process. |
